This is to remind you of the ongoing needs (and opportunities) in Anabaptist education that we are serving through The Dock. The Conservative Anabaptist Education Committee, along with the Resource Group at Faith Builders, has been operating The Dock, a website for teachers and school boards in Christian schools. We have seen steady growth in its use and reach. With over 320 registered users, a bi-weekly email digest, and weekly additions to the website, it has become a great asset to our educators, not only here but in many other countries around the world. There is obviously a need and demand for this kind of helpful and encouraging resource.
Our costs have been covered so far by donations. The first three-year agreement we started in 2015 agreed to pay $75,000 for startup and maintenance. We are currently in our second three years at a budgeted cost of $60,000 for maintenance and content creation.
In light of these needs, we are proposing that school boards help support the operation of The Dock with annual donations. Suggested amounts could vary from $100 to $1000, depending on the size and operating budget of your school. We ask you to prayerfully consider joining this effort in the interests of our Christian schools and teachers. Feel free to contact us if you have questions. We also invite your prayer support, and suggest you take a moment to visit thedockforlearning.org to see the many good things that are happening there.
To respond to this need, please consider filling out the pledge form below. If you need more information, please email Mark Webb or or call (540) 717-2116. If needed, tax-deductible receipts will be given in accordance with tax laws.
Please send postal mail to CAEC C/O Mark Webb, 10555 Lew Jones Rd., Rawlings, VA 23876.
We appreciate your consideration.
