Be Still

★★★★★

Recently, I became aware of how deeply I fear not having enough time to do all that needs to be done at school along with fulfilling responsibilities at home. This fear creates tension in my soul, wearies me physically, and is, plain and simple, sin. I had not consciously realized what a grip this monstrous tyrant had on me; it felt almost normal to worry about all that demanded doing. Anxiety is a thief and a robber.

As I followed my previous commitment to intentionally acknowledge the Holy Spirit’s Presence a minimum of seven times daily by asking Him to guide my thoughts into alignment with the Father’s, this verse came to mind: “Be still and know that I am God”. With pencil in hand, I quickly recorded what I sensed the Lord telling me:

“Be STILL and know that I am God.”

Quiet your heart, Betty, cease your striving, quit your desperate planning. It robs you of enjoying the moment and blocks you from seeing My face.

“Be still and KNOW that I am God.”

Know—acknowledge, recognize the truth, bow your soul and submit to My truth, the truth that I am God. Dare to experience it by releasing your tenacious grip on controlling the circumstances and people around you.

“Be still and know that I am God.”

I am God, not you, Betty. Lay down your burden, let Me carry it. I, Jehovah, the Almighty One, I, even I am God and I am God with you! Emmanuel. My power is infinite. Trust my timetable.

“Be still and know that I AM God.”

I AM, really and truly. Verily, verily, I am. There is 100% certainty. You can stake your life on Me.

“Be still and know that I am GOD.”

Yes, I am God – the Creator of the ends of the earth. You can trust me. I am God and I am your God.

“BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD!”
