  • MySpellIt: “Words You Should Know,” commonly misspelled words, word lists, and exercises to go with words
  • WordCentral: an online student thesaurus, has a spelling robot.
  • SparkNotes Classics: the actual text on the left side of the page, and the same story in modern language on the right side (I didn’t like the ads and pictures with them, on the home page and beside the texts.)
  • Success for All: for reading
  • ReadWriteThink: make word maps
  • Inkspot: writing resources
  • Webster online: talking dictionary
  • Visual thesaurus

Here is a free website that is fantastic for learning verb tenses. https://www.englishpage.com/verbpage/verbtenseintro.htmlI have printed out the pages so that my students don’t have to use the computer during class.
