The effectiveness of our schools depends significantly on the effectiveness of the school administrator. This retreat helps administrators build vision for their schools and become effective leaders.


In order for schools to be healthy and effective, it is critical for school administrators to listen and learn from their peers about their work. The conference this year provides an opportunity to do this. The main sessions will feature three speakers, all with current experience in school administration, with the talks organized around the theme “Strengthening Anabaptist Schools.”

• What ideas and practices make and keep our schools distinctly Christian and within the Anabaptist faith tradition?
• What can conservative Anabaptist schools learn from public schools?
• What have I learned in my years as administrator of an Anabaptist school?
• How can administrators serve and empower the staff?

The 2019 Administrators Conference will be held at the Antiochian Village Conference Center near Ligonier, Pennsylvania. This conference is designed to encourage and support administrators working in educational settings. Those who attended previous conferences have appreciated the focused interaction and input this event provides.

This conference is limited to 45 administrators and their spouses. The event costs $220 for an administrator and $335 for a couple. This includes lodging for two nights and all meals. Payment in full is requested at the time of registration.
