@mrzookI like to send our parents a letter from their principal, if possible, during the school year. I like to enclose an article from someone else that encourages them in their support of school and in taking an active part in the education of their children.
Do any of you have suggestions for articles or maybe something you have written yourself that could be sent to parents?
Thanks for your input.

@petergoertzenLightLines is definitely worth a look. You might even want to send issues home regularly. CLE has put a lot of effort into it in the last couple of years.

@kenkauffmanI’m sorry I didn’t see this thread until now. The “LightLines for parents” Byron referred to is called ParentLines and is published twice per term (November and February) in conjunction with LightLines which is published for teachers.
LightLines is published 4 times per school term. Two copies of LightLines are sent free to schools who are active CLE customers. Other schools and individuals may request a free subscription. To request a subscription, or to change mailing addresses or quantities received, call (800) 776-0478 or email [email protected].
LightLines (not ParentLines) is also available by email, delivered directly to your inbox. Please indicate your preference when subscribing.

@kenkauffmanI should clarify – the intent of twice-annual ParentLines that is sent along with LightLines is free to be reproduced and distributed to parents.
