Seeking to Excel in Service

Why should we seek to excel (1 Corinthians 14:12)? How can youth excel in the local congregation in such areas of service as song leading, giving encouragement, committees, ushering, singing for the elderly, friendliness to strangers and teaching Sunday school? The best preparation for tomorrow is the right use of today.
