Samuel Hartlib: A Sketch of His Relations to Comenius

Though not so well known as Comenius, Samuel Hartlib of Germany and England shared much of Comenius’ enthusiasm for knowledge. This book by Dr. Turnbull describes the life of the man who sought Hartlib set out with the universalist goal “to record all human knowledge and to make it universally available for the education of all mankind” (Hartlib Papers).
