In the past we have used both edutyping.com and typing.com. Both are web based and need computers with internet access. edutyping requires a subscription and typing.com is free (you need to pay to remove adds but I just used adblocker) We require 7th grade to type about 2 hours a week. 8th grade needs to type for about 2 hours a week for quarter 1 then they have the option of testing out if they meet certain speed and accuracy requirements. Their high school typing credit is based on meeting proficiency standards instead of simply logging hours of practice.
I know this reply is outdated, but this site seems like a good resource and am wanting to get the ball rolling on my part…
