Why “The Dock”? Christopher’s Legacy

Although at first he strongly resisted his friends’ suggestions to publish a book on teaching, Christopher Dock’s School Management became the first book on education published in the United States. Dock was a Mennonite immigrant who knew God had called him to teach, and who sought to train his students in the fear and love of God. In this video, Steven shares Dock’s motivation for teaching, as well as the characteristics that called forth the appreciation of parents, students, and generations of Christian educators.
