Sign of the Beaver Teachers’ Guide

This 46-page guide to reading The Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Spear guides teachers in asking discussion questions, teaching vocabulary, offering historical perspective, and growing in ability to teach reading skills. The author, an experienced teacher, notes: “I think Sign of the Beaver is good for grades 5-6.  I have not taught this class for a number of years now and so have not recently gone through and used the lessons. I would wish for someone who uses the lessons to feel free to point out incomplete items and add them in.”
