In the opening message of the series, Dan describes the arc of God's story, and urges us to see our lives--and the lives of our students--in the light of God's story. In Him is life, and it is the light of men. Only in Him do we find our true identity.
How does God's story apply in the classroom? How does it guide us in navigating interpersonal difficulties? Dan points out that Biblical integration is more than acquiring knowledge of the Bible; our schools must operate in the fear of the Lord.
In the final talk in the series on biblical integration, Dan urges teachers to be faithful to their callings and to avoid false ideas that distract us, and our students, from serving Christ in the classroom.
How do we integrate Scriptures in math, science, and history classes? A panel of four teachers challenge and encourage their fellow educators to consider their callings.
How do we bring the light of God's word into our daily classroom experience? Dan encourages us to look beyond mere factual knowledge, and to build a culture of the fear of God. "Before obedience," says Dan, "there has to be a posture of listening."
To illustrate this culture of hearing God's word, Dan offers two models. One is Os Guinness' three levels of reality: objective, descriptive, and prescriptive. The second model contrasts a boundaries approach with a wisdom approach.
It is our opportunity to guide our students in applying the wisdom of Scripture to issues, even when Scripture does not offer explicit rules for the subject.

I am probably biased, but I thought Dan did an excellent job with his three talks at Teachers Conference 2016. I highly recommend listening to the entire series if you haven’t heard it. The call to allow Scripture to inform all of our teaching and living is powerful.
